Itﾂｴs a correct example to NOT DO with bass samplers and cuts. Tamborzﾃ｣o beat is a decadence of Rio Funk. Poor quality vocals, afro elements used incorrect, apologise of violence, drugs, explicit sex and porn.
Freestyle music and Miami Bass samples was stolen, itﾂｴs not correct example of brazilian bass, i can make live presentation electronic of bass without MPC. underground resistence of bass lives! Freestyle and Bass Forever i donﾂｴt accept tamborzﾃ｣o beat!

Itﾂｴs not a new drums in Tamborzﾃ｣o beat, itﾂｴs simple use of afro percursion instruments.
Electro Freestyle is more rich and better, but not acepted in brazil because is much more easy make "music" with tamborzﾃ｣o, any people can made a "music" without any music knowledge.
Bass donﾂｴt dead i can prove it, at germany and many contries make a new and hot freestyle productions, lots of cds.
At USA new age of Miami Bass (New School) like DJ ICEY and Babby Anne.

At my opinion reggaeton is another shit, and real hip-hop started at 80ﾂｴs.
Rio RAP at 90ﾂｴs is more creative then this poor type of music. You can look lyrics portuguese of Claudinho and Bochecha, Suel and Amaro and many others. Today many MC living in Rio is forced to work for live and pay your billings subjecting work with this poor beat.

Before starts to criticize-me, you need study a real story of Funk (James Brown and Others), study a history of Miami Bass, Freestyle and Electro Funk. For example Maggotron relesed a Mission Electro At the past year (2007) pure miami bass quality(By Debonarie Records), good work you sure bass is dead? Moglia those bailes funks in Salvador are different but they're not "better". The fact is that funk is fun. It can be dumb, but music doesn't need to always be serious. And it's important to remember that culture invents music, not the other way around. And you don't seem to understand the history of funk/rap. The beats came from James Brown + funk, but the rapping came from Jamaica.
