creo que lo he visto mas de 47 veces....y aun no me canso de encontrar la perfeccion en ellos.....la elegancia,,,la suavidad....la musica....sus miradas complices,,,,el tiempo que se dan para alimentarse con el aplauso.......y por supuesto debo decir la envidia que siento....al no ser parte de aquel publico......

To the person who said Gev and Courtney were better...your madly mistaken right? The ballroom routines on SYTYCD are all tricks and no quality...to make performers look good. This is real rumba...an expression between two souls. Considering they were in a relationship at that time, their connection is dynamic.

That is one of the reason he kept on changing partners, there was Joanna, the beatiful blonde, an excellent dancer, before Karina; then Elena, another beauty, after Karina. Who I heard is reserved to his dance partner. So, uh, yeah.
It takes understanding of dancing to appreciate the context of this coreography. SYTYCD is indeed nothing but tricks and no real technique. The stuff they give to them is incredibly 90's of the ballroom world and wouldn't fly in a real competition. The things that the guys do sometimes are nothing but godawful and an eyesore. x_X

The Slavik of 2004 was already more talented than the Sergey Surkov of 2007! Well, could Slavik just more talented than Sergey? May very well be! Only the concept of OFF-BEAT that Sergey associated with is a very strong point that he might come out stronger at the end!---dancewu(dot)net

A: What I am trying to say is mostly true, sometimes everything came into play at the same time, didn't they? I never believed in competing, therefore I could only mention at times I went out for social events, I just did not get to do what I wanted to do, just because that evening I did not have much luck to have a right lady to dance with. The reasons could be plenty, some of them were never meant to be found out.---dancewu(dot)net

Yes, relationships do play a big role when partnering someone, but you're making assumptions based on obviously limited knowledge of the persons involved. Also, there is no if at all. Karina and Slavik were romantically involved during the time they danced together. Again, nice attempt, but no.

Some of the negative comments on here are just amazing. I think it shows the ignorance level some people have. It is a shame for those who can't enjoy the beauty of this rumba for what it is. Not everyone is going to interpret a "rhumba" the same way. Get a life. This rhumba is fantastic!!
